Former US national security advisor John Bolton believes that the war is in its early stages and has been complicated by Iran’s involvement. Bolton characterizes the conflict as “an Iranian war against Israel, fought through terrorist proxies.” Iran supports groups opposing Israel, such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and the Houthis in Yemen. The ongoing conflict has often been described as a proxy war between Israel and Iran. Israel has been accused of targeting international aid workers in Gaza, resulting in their deaths. Despite international outcry, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the deaths were unintentional. Bolton suggests that the suffering in Gaza can be ended by eliminating Hamas, which he deems as the cause of the suffering.
